"Shelly" Original Artwork

Original Artwork by Annie Wilson, Owner of Samsãra

This original artwork was inspired by a shell Annie discovered on a local beach walk. Drawn to its natural textures, colours, and imperfect beauty, she used it as the foundation for this piece.

After a three-year break from painting, this work marks Annie's return to the canvas and is the first painting she has created in that time.

Created using acrylic paint and impasto techniques, the artwork features rich texture and depth. In a meaningful connection to its inspiration, Annie also incorporated sand from the shell itself into the painting, creating a tangible link between the artwork and the coastline that inspired it.
